Mickey Hart and Adam Gazzaley are examining the effect music and rhythm may have as a therapeutic agent. The reliance of the body on rhythm is more evident in a number of natural cycles, and Adam Gazzaley, director of the Neuroscience Imaging Center at the University of California San Francisco, explained, “Brain activity fluctuates— it oscillates in rhythmic patterns and different rhythms are represented throughout the brain in terms of how its activity changes over time.” Read more here…
