We’ve all heard of seeing red, but how about looking purple? Anyone? Toronto punks Dilly Dally join the lineage of fine artists with songs dedicated to the colour (Prince, erm, Gogol Bordello) by releasing Purple Rage. The video for the track, in which a mystical swamp monster covered in purple goop skulks around a city like an alien is, according to the band’s Katie Monks, symbolic of the feeling of dejection and anger. Gospel Music Heritage Month is being celebrated at the Mount Airy United Fellowship Church at 701 W. Johnson St. in Northwest Philadelphia this month. This year’s theme is showing the therapeutic benefits of this musical genre, according to the Rev. Joseph Williams Jr., the pastor and organizer of the “Gospel Sunday” series this year.
