I write as a private citizen to ask for support for UND’s music therapy program, which has been targeted for elimination. Music therapy treated people with post traumatic stress disorder between the world wars. Expanded, it treats Alzheimer’s, disabilities, trauma, crisis, special education, mental illness, autism spectrum, pain management and more as part of a comprehensive program of various paramedical therapies.
