Music For Maternity

Over the past 39 years, San Diego Repertory Theatre has carved itself an artistic niche for celebrating the stories of what co-founder Sam Woodhouse calls “those without a place at the table.” So to kick off the company’s 40th season this week, Woodhouse is directing the San Diego premiere of “Violet,” an award-winning country/bluegrass musical about a disfigured woman fighting for the life she deserves but has long been denied.
