Music For Maternity

ROSEBURG, Ore. — At Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg they’re using music to heal. Mercy officials say playing music in medical settings is beneficial. “We know that music and healing in studies is a proven fact,” says volunteer services director Michelle Kronner. “It helps people just feel better.” That’s the reason Karen Cordell volunteers her time to play. “I think music reaches deep into the soul where nothing else does,” says Cordell, president of the Roseburg Accordion Club.
