PostHeaderIcon Experiencing Wildwood, Esa’s perspective: music therapy class

Communications major at The College of Saint Rose and currently interning for Wildwood Program’s Communication department. This blog series will be a collection of her experiences at Wildwood. Four boys came sprinting into the room, they slowed down once they saw me, but they continued grinning as they found their seats. After their routine exercises, including deep breathing, they were ready to take attendance. The faces and names of the students appear on the Smart board and each child had to match the ones that belong to them. Then came the fun part, each stud5ent had a chance to stand on a small wooden block while the rest of the class sung the “Hello Song,” during which some jumped up and down on the block, others held hands with Beth, the music therapist, and one kid even managed to high five her while he was jumping.
