A South Florida senator Tuesday filed a proposal that calls for state regulation and licensure of music therapists. The bill, filed by state Sen. Florida Hospital Orlando music therapist Antonio Milland strummed his guitar and sang “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” while stroke patient Tyson Brandt grasped a mallet with two hands and tapped a paddle drum. “Take a big breath in,” Milland said as Brandt, 48, smiled and leaned forward in his wheelchair toward the drum.
